The National Committee for Road Safety (NRSC) and the International Business Chamber of Cambodia (IBC) signed a memorandum to mark their cooperation in promoting road safety in Cambodia.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Min Manvy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and Secretary General of the National Road Safety Committee. The signing ceremony was held on May 17 at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT).
The Secretary of State thanked the IBC for encouraging private companies to become its members as well as joining the Royal Government in preventing and reducing road accidents in all its forms. Manvy pointed out that the country records at least five deaths per day due to traffic accidents.
Paul Dodd, Member of the Board of Directors of the International Chamber of Commerce of Cambodia, said the team had set up a social campaign to reach out to people and their families on dangers of alcohol in driving.
