Lim Sidenin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, led the delegation to the 7th Belt and Road Summit held in Hong Kong.The summit will be held for 1 to 3 September and aims to explore, share and exchange views and perspectives on business and investment opportunities. Expansion of regional and international cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, infrastructure, promoting communication, business matching and building partnerships will be discussed.
Addressing the summit, the Secretary of State said that the Belt and Road Initiative is a new catalyst for global economic growth.
He also highlighted that Cambodia has benefited greatly from this initiative in developing infrastructure, as well as promote local and regional connectivity.
In addition, the Secretary of State expressed his deep gratitude to China for making significant contributions to the economic and social development of Cambodia.
