On March 09, 2017, H.E. Sun Chanthol, acting in his capacity of Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Committee, (NRSC), chaired the monthly meeting on “Key Outcomes of the Implementation of Road Traffic Law”, with the participation of NRSC committee members and MPWT’s senior officials.

The meeting focused on the committee’s February 2017 monthly traffic law enforcement report. The report covers draft regulations, public awareness of law, law enforcement actions, road accidents, public feedback, issues and challenges, and next-step plans.

H.E. Sun Chanthol agreed to establish a Working Group to study the problems related to traffic congestion in Phnom Penh.

Senior Minister also instructed the Provincial Departments of Public Works and Transport to organize National Road Safety Sub-Committee meetings.
