Chhuon Veun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and Director of the National Road No. 8 Construction Project, led a technical team to conduct an on-site inspection of the road section from Prek Tamak Bridge to Ponhea Krek (the junction with National Road No. 7). The purpose of the visit was to gain a clear understanding of the current condition of the road as an initial step in the project feasibility study and preparations for a future road improvement project. The planned upgrade of this section of National Road No. 8 aims to enhance road quality standards and strengthen the capacity of cross-border transport infrastructure connectivity.
