The 3rd City Ring Road, known as Xi Jinping Boulevard, has been temporarily closed for two and a half years starting from Sept. 1, 2025, to facilitate the construction of the Dei Ith–Thmar Kor Mekong Bridge, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT).
The closure will remain in effect until Feb. 1, 2028, covering the section between the intersection of Road No. 116A (KM 2+800) and National Road No. 1, the ministry pointed out.
The Dei Ith–Thmar Kor Mekong Bridge is being constructed with its western part located in Dei Ith commune, Kien Svay district, and its eastern part in Thmar Kor commune, Lvea Em district, Kandal province.
MPWT has also announced provisional detours: light vehicles may use Road No. 116A, while heavy vehicles can travel via Road No. 12A. Traffic along National Road No. 1, which crosses the project area, will continue to flow normally.
