The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway had a total of 1.4 million vehicles in the last four months (November 2022 – February 2023). At the same time, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport also observed that a small number of vehicles still do not obey the traffic rules, drive over the speed limit, use the wrong lane, reverse driving, as well as do not understand the initial inspection and did not check the specifications regularly. These factors can lead to various accidents eventually. In this regard, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, as well as the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Company, would like to continue to call on and remind the people to respect the traffic law, follow the safety principles and must first check the vehicles before departure and check the characteristics techniques as scheduled.
