Senior Minister Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works, said that the Ministry, through the road safety plan, will promote the change of license plate that do not have QR codes.The National Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 will include determining the age of the import of used cars, promoting the change of license plates without QR Code, strengthening the procedures for driving license examinations and promoting use of electric vehicles.
While speaking at the drafting of the road safety plan yesterday, Senior Minister Chanthol, made contributions to the six pillars of the road safety plan.
Mon Manvi, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works, spoke about the background and key points of the road safety plan. The 10-year action plan from 2021-2030 is the second road safety plan implemented by the Kingdom. The secretary of state said that the plan is also a tool to contribute to the success of the implementation of the Rectangular Policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia and in line with the National Road Safety Policy.
Manvi added that the plan was coordinated with the United Nations Global Action Plan, which is based on the Law on Road Traffic and in line with the nation’s progress.
Deputy Prime Minister Sar Kheng, Minister of Interior, expressed his satisfaction with the national plan that has been prepared and presented, and he also participated in providing opinions and recommendations to the implementation of the plan.
