As part of Kampot’s development and tourism boosting efforts, three new roads will be built in the province, running from the provincial capital to another district.Mao Thunin, Governor of Kampot, led a delegation of provincial officials to oversee the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction three new concrete roads in Kampot city and Teuk Chhou district yesterday.
Im Chansothon, Governor of Teuk Chhou District, said that the concrete road will become a potential road to serve the needs of the people in four communes in Teuk Chhou district, including Kampong Kreng commune, Mak Prang commune, Stung Keo commune and Prey Khmum commune. The road will also serve national and international tourists visiting the province.Thunin pointed out the Kampong Bay Canal is polluted and filled with trash, he urged people to contribute to the maintenance of the canal as it could affect tourism in the province.
