The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has warned people to be careful as the weather forecast shows that from September 20 to 23, there will be moderate to scattered rain in Koh Kong province.
This will be mixed with moderate gusts of wind, which could cause flash floods, especially National Road 4, which could be inundated by flash floods, while on the sea surface there will be rain, wind and waves of medium height.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has called for increased vigilance to avoid any possible accidents.
“Cambodia is currently experiencing the effects of the Indian low pressure valley and the weak southwest monsoon, which will continue to bring rain,” the statement said.
The announcement by Lim Kean Hor, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, stated that from today to September 23, the weather would change drastically. With the re-emergence of the low pressure system coupled with the active low pressure currently in the South China Sea, it will extend across Cambodia.
This weather phenomenon will cause moderate to heavy rains. Some northern parts of Cambodia are already experiencing floods such as Banteay Meanchey’s Malai and Poipet.
