A training workshop on “Adaptive Leadership: Leading Change for Organisational Renewal,” co-organised by Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) and the Centre for Asian Leadership Initiatives (CALI), kicked off here this morning under the presidency of H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of MPWT.
According to news release of MPWT, the workshop, taking place in Phnom Penh on Feb. 11-13 and in Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk province on Feb. 14-16, was facilitated by Fellows from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. It has been specially designed for MPWT’s senior officials to increase their personal and organisational knowledge on leadership skills to improve work efficiency in their organisation and within their communities.
In his opening remarks, H.E. Sun Chanthol, also an alumnus of Kennedy School of Government, said the training was a rare opportunity for the MPWT’s senior officials to develop professional leadership skills which are necessary for contribution to positive growth of MPWT and the country.
2019 is the year dedicated to training and capacity building, he added, encouraging all participants to study hard, focus on sharing best practices, openly absorb new knowledge and approach the training with an open mind.
Mr. Faustino John Lim, Co-founder and Director of International Affairs of CALI, requested the participants to fully engage and be committed in participating in the workshop’s process both individually and collectively.
