Dr. Hun Manet, the Prime Minister of Cambodia, considered National Road No. 5 an important artery for the economic livelihood of the people and for the economic development of the country because this road connects to some provinces.During the inauguration ceremony of National Road No. 5 from Prek Kdam to Battambang on the morning of November 22, the premier emphasised, “Even if you have a good car, it is not possible without a good or favourable road, so this road factor is very important.”
“National Road No. 5 is an important road that connects other roads to connect people in Kandal, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Kampong Speu provinces,” he said. “So connecting many roads, which is the main artery, not only connects the region and the geography, but it is the artery that feeds the economic life of the people next to the road.”The premier also said that November 22 is also the three-month anniversary of the formation of the Royal Government of the seventh mandate, so the inauguration of this road is a special day and a symbol of the continuation of existing development. As a symbol of the continued strengthening of the nation in the previously prosperous economic situation and the opening up of further development.
At the same time, the Prime Minister said that the inauguration of National Road 5 is also a symbol of communication with friendly countries.
