Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport, led a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to visit Prak Sophanna, a disabled man who is an accomplished musician and song writer.
The musician was invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the 12th ASEAN Para Games in 2023.
During the visit, the minister praised Sophanna for his courage to fight against discrimination from his youth until today. Chanthol added that Sophanna is a motivating force for those who face difficult problems to never give up and to move forward in life.
The minister also donated $2,500 on behalf of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to Sophanna.
Separately, the Chip Mong Company also gave $2,500 to the musician. In addition, leaders from the ministry participating on the occasion jointly donated funds to Sophanna to help support his family life.
To achieve Sophanna’s goal to own his own house and land without needing to pay rent, Senior Minister Chanthol decided to offer the house and land.
At the same time, to boost Sophanna’s career and family life, Chanthol plans to discuss with Baramey Production Company and Chip Mong Company about producing his music for the enjoyment of the Public.
